September is National Preparedness Month. Take action now – make a plan with your community, your organization, your family, and for your pets. Please plan how to stay safe and communicate during the disasters that can affect your family and community. Participate in America’s PrepareAthon! and the National Day of Action, National PrepareAthon! Day, which culminates National Preparedness Month on September 30.
Attached is a letter from Jerome Hatfield, Regional Administrator, FEMA Region II, on the importance of National Preparedness Month and PrepareAthon! Mr. Hatfield invites you to join the grassroots campaign for action to increase community disaster preparedness and resilience by participating in America’s PrepareAthon.
If your organization plans to sponsor preparedness activities during September, 2015 and/or needs guidance or assistance in your planning process, please let me know.
