Certifications

Elected Officials Academy (EOA)

If you are an elected official and have enrolled in NYCOM’s Elected Officials Academy, every session qualifies for elective course credit toward the EOA’s “Education Award” certification, unless otherwise noted.  If you are not enrolled in the Elected Officials Academy, complete the enrollment form either ONLINE or request an application at the NYCOM registration desk. Please follow the sign-in instructions for any session you attend.

Municipal Attorney Continuing Legal Education (CLE)

The Conference of Mayors will be offering CLE credit for relevant sessions at the 2019 Annual Meeting and Training School. Attorneys wishing to take advantage of this opportunity MUST PRE-REGISTER for both the Annual Meeting AND CLE credits. All NYCOM CLE courses offered at this school contain new content for 2019, and are not “repeat” courses for purposes of the NYS CLE Board's “no repeat” rule.

The CLE attendance verification process for NYCOM’s Annual Meeting requires attorneys to SIGN IN at the BEGINNING of EACH SESSION IN THE ROOM WHERE THE SESSION IS BEING HELD. In addition, attorneys MUST SIGN OUT at the END OF THE SESSION. The Sign-In and Sign-Out sheets will be located on a table at the back of each room in which a CLE session is being held. ATTORNEYS FAILING to SIGN IN AND OUT WILL NOT BE AWARDED CLE CREDIT for that SESSION, NO EXCEPTIONS. Attorneys must also complete evaluation forms for each CLE session attended, copies of which will be available next to the sign in and sign out sheets. Evaluation forms may be left on the tables at the back of each room or returned to the registration desk.
