Since 1961, the Conference of Mayors has annually honored those who have served a single community for twenty-five years or more by awarding them a "Certificate of Public Service."
The total years of service does not need to be consecutive, but must be cumulative for a single municipality. Although the nominations for these awards begin with thirty-five years of service, NYCOM is also recognizing those who have served longer, in five-year intervals.
Thank you for helping us recognize your employees for their commitment to local government service. Once the nomination forms are reviewed, certificates will be completed and mailed to you so that the actual presentation may be made in your municipality.
NYCOM would like to congratulate the following 2014 certificate recipients:
Thomas Ross, Cohoes
Michael P. Burns, Albany
Joseph Z. Arabski, Albany
